Your music library is empty right now — let's get some music in there.
How to upload
- Go to your Terrarium dashboard and find your Navidrome card
- Click Files to open the file manager
- Click Choose files to upload and select your music. You can select many files at once, and you can upload individual audio files or zip archives
- Wait for the upload and processing to finish — this usually takes a few minutes per album
Uploading several albums in one go is better than one at a time: each batch is processed together, so a single large upload finishes faster than several small ones.
What beets does
Every music upload goes through beets, which:
- Identifies tracks using audio fingerprinting (via MusicBrainz)
- Corrects artist, album, and track names
- Downloads and embeds cover art into your audio files
- Assigns genres automatically
- Downloads lyrics
- Organizes files into
Artist/Album/folders inside your library
When it's done, your files appear in the tree under library/. Navidrome picks them up automatically — open your music app and they'll be there.
Supported formats
Navidrome plays MP3, FLAC, AAC (M4A), OGG Vorbis, Opus, WMA, and WAV. Upload whatever you have — no conversion needed.
Storage
Music files add up. A typical album is 80–150 MB for MP3, or 300–500 MB for FLAC. The file manager lists everything you've uploaded, so you can see what's taking up room.
