Each app card on your dashboard shows a status. Most of the time it reads Running or Asleep, and both are normal: an app sleeps when nobody has used it for a while and wakes on its own when you open it. The statuses below are the ones that need you. Each card that shows one also has a What now? link to this page.
Setup didn't finish
The card shows a red Error and a Try again button. Terrarium started building the app but could not finish, so there is nothing to open yet.
Press Try again. Terrarium builds the app again from scratch. This deletes anything stored inside the app itself. Files in shared storage, like uploaded music and audiobooks, are kept. For an app that asks for a username and password, you choose them again.
If you're a household member, the card says Needs the account holder instead, because only the person who owns the household can rebuild an app.
If it fails a second time, get in touch and we'll take a look.
Error, with an Open button
The app was set up, but the machine it runs on has stopped working. Try pressing Open. If the card still shows Error after a minute, get in touch.
Running, but not answering requests
The card shows Unresponsive. The app is switched on, but it isn't answering. This usually clears up by itself within a minute or two, often right after the app wakes from sleep. Wait a moment and refresh the dashboard.
If it stays unresponsive for more than a few minutes, get in touch.
Terrarium couldn't check on this app
The card shows Unknown. Terrarium asked the hosting service how the app was doing and didn't get an answer. The app itself may be fine, so try opening it. Refresh the dashboard after a minute to check again.
